I am constantly inspired by paper, colors and texture. Mixed media artwork is so appealing to me and I love creating in this format. Papers from Papaya, Pam Garrison journaling page, Jenny Sweeney's Artwork, and a photo of my friend Susie's workspace.

Sipping up some advice
As I am trying to find my way along the blogging world there are these amazing people you meet...One person, Livy, of A Field Journal has been so kind and helpful. She gave me some easy tips and was so generous with her advice. Her blog is always so inspiring, I love these sweet straws she created for Papermash. If you haven't encountered her blog yet, it is a must read!

Cooking up love
So this morning, I made some yummy heart shaped pancakes for my honey. So easy, I used a heart cookie cutter and sprayed it with non coat cooking spray. Then, I cut a stick of butter the long way and cut out little hearts with a smaller size cookie cutter. Is there a better way to say you love someone than cooking? Learn how to make latte hearts on MonkeySee. Just in time for Valentine's Day, no paper required!

It's a wrap!
I love to see how people wrap gifts... I think it's all about the details. I purchased this double ruffled crepe paper from Birds of a Feather and have been waiting to wrap a special something with it. I think these little letterpressed tags from we heart paper would complete it!

So after a horrible Monday (hard drive crashing at work) nothing makes me happier than ridiculous handmade crafts! Aah, thank goodness for Emilie Friday whose whimsical cake toppers & other creatures are just too cute for words. This little liberty bell bird found his way to my home and always makes me smile.

Whole lot of love
So my friend, Bridget, is one of the craftiest people I know. Last night we were at her house for our dinner group and she made everyone these heart ruffled kitchen towels..too cute! And then she appliqued hearts onto old napkins with sweet ribbons and trims. Ingenious! Her table looked amazing, I had to share some of the details. She needs to start a blog with all her crafty ideas! flowers by olive and cocoa

Dog daze
Why is it that a simple cream sofa with tons of funky pillows always looks so great? I am loving these pillows from Jan Constantine...especially for February.
