Making the most at the Makerie

Gathered a few pictures of this past weekend at the Makerie. What an amazing experience! So much inspiration,  hilarious times, and delicious food. Everything they did made you feel loved and welcome. My head is now spinning with ideas and I am trying to filter them all. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to share an experience like that with wonderful, colorful and talented women. xoxo

Fabulous food photography and styling with Aran Goyoaga

This past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to take a food styling and photography class with Aran Goyoaga of Cannelle et Vanille at the Makerie. It was amazing. Watching her work was like seeing an artist paint a picture. She is a slave for light and the details.  Every movement is thought over. Where would the spoon be, would there be a glass of milk, what color should the linens be, etc. She does it all- cooks, styles, art direction and photographs. It was a lovely experience. I had to share one of my favorite pictures I took. More to come! xo

The Makerie

Well...I'm off to Boulder, Colorado. Heading west to celebrate a dear friends birthday and attend a creative retreat called the Makerie. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I cannot wait to be inspired, meet new friends and experience the workshops. I cannot imagine what the weekend will be like. Everything that comes from them is filled with love and happiness. I even love the playlist of tunes they created for us. Already sending out those contagious happy vibes! I will be posting pics once I get back! Pink and Grey

I have always loved combo of pink and grey. We just painted our bonus room(aka guest room) a beautiful pale grey. Now I am searching for some pink linens for the bed. Saw a few of these images and I had to share. tea tin, room, paint is benjamin moore pink cloud, garnet hill washed linen bedding.

Spread the Love...everyday!

I love Valentine's Day...but I believe in sharing the love everyday. I am so blessed to be surrounded by people whom I love dearly. But I think love is contagious and it should be shared so if you are feeling loved or blessed pass it on...everyday, not just on Valentines.

Well, I didn't realize that all my pics have an arrow theme about them. So I guess I was onto something! Anyway, thinking about Valentines Day and doing a little DIY. There are so many adorable handmade Valentine's Day ideas out there, that it makes it so much fun to create something handmade. Happy Day!

Boho Party!

Wonder!

I am so drawn to these sweet colors and enchanted images. Maybe it is watching my daughter babble in a little language only she understands, or watching her squeeze her bear Paddy, but something about the innocence of a child is magical. It is so much fun to watch her and wonder what is she thinking about. I sometimes sneak in her room and just listen to her babble to her animal friends. I almost yelled and woke up my baby when I saw this rug! Really, I am so loving it...Oh course only the amazing and talented peeps at Free People could come up with something like this. Happy Birthday!

Well another year has passed and the dreaded time has come to turn a year older. Sigh! But I cannot help to love this Birthday. It comes with it all the celebrating of what last year brought. And what a year it was!  This year, I want to celebrate what every new day brings. I want to be kinder to myself, more loving to my friends and family, celebrate life more, and be thankful. It seems to easy to complain about things I don't like about myself and harder to love what I do like about me.
