love and faith
Have been working on these new necklaces for a few clients and I thought I would share them. The first one is in Italian and says "love endures all" and the second one is in French and says "live by faith". Hope you are having a happy Wednesday..

Orange Zest Body Scrub
So for New Years we headed to our friends house way up North.
It was too cold to ski or snowboard so we decided to do a little crafting and created this fabulous body scrub. After we made this scrub my girlfriend, Leslie, used it. She said it is her absolute favorite! Which is a huge complement coming from her (I think she orders from Sephora in bulk). Anyway, it is so easy to make and makes your skin feel unbelievable. Really!
Brown Sugar Body Scrub
Turbinado Sugar or Sugar in the Raw
Almond or Grapeseed Oil
1 Orange
1 container to store or a ball jar
Measure out about 2 Cups of Sugar into a bowl
Add 1 C. of Almond or Grapeseed Oil
Grate the zest of a half of orange
Mix together until slushy
Store in Container and label
You can change the scent of this by adding an essential oil. Just omit the orange. I happen to love the crisp and summery scent of an orange..

Gift toppers
So cute! Found these little acorn toppers and the DIY instructions on the Free People blog. Love the idea of using them on gifts this holiday season. So excited to wrap my gifts this year and have some handmade treasures to add.
Here are there simple instructions for making these:
- collect a bunch of acorns and remove the caps.
- get wool for felting in various colors at your local craft store
- roll the wool into small balls, wet with hot water and add a little bit of soap. continue rolling the ball in your hands for about ten minutes, occasionally adding soap, until it is firm. mold into the shape of an acorn and glue into the cap using fabric glue or even krazy glue or guerilla glue.

These are few of my favorite things!
Such happy little treasures! I snapped a few pictures of these little things at a local Holiday Bazaar. They were all created by local artist, Jenny Sweeney. Don't you just want to put one of those picks on top of a cupcake? Speaking of favorite things and cupcakes, today is my dear friend Susie's birthday (a BIG birthday) so it seems appropriate that today's post should be about favorite things and people! Thank you for your love and friendship...Mw-ah!
